UFC’s Ian Garry Challenges Colby Covington, Pledges to Defeat Him in Front of Trump

Following his impressive victory against Geoff Neal at UFC 298, Ian Garry has set his sights on Colby Covington, the former interim welterweight champion ranked fifth in the UFC rankings. While no official fight has been arranged, Garry expressed his determination to face Covington and vowed to emerge victorious, even in front of Covington’s ally, former President Trump.

During an appearance on “The MMA Hour,” Garry confidently stated, “All the s— he will have said leading up to that fight, I’ll talk to him when I beat the f— out of him in that Octagon.” Garry went on to declare his intention to confront Covington in front of Trump, asserting, “If Trump’s in attendance, I will drag Colby in front of Trump and I will beat the mouth off and say, ‘This is what you created. This is MAGA.'”

Garry expressed his determination to “silence” Covington and vowed to deliver such a powerful blow that Covington would never speak again, suggesting that Covington would then be compelled to reassess his life choices upon returning to Miami.

Despite the fierce words exchanged, no official fight between Garry and Covington has been confirmed.

Garry, nicknamed “The Future,” remains undefeated in his professional MMA career, with victories over notable opponents such as Jordan Williams, Darian Weeks, Gabriel Green, Kenan Song, Daniel Rodriguez, and Neil Magny. While four of his seven UFC wins have been via decision, his recent split decision victory against Neal showcased his resilience and skill in the octagon.

Covington, known for his vocal and controversial persona, boasts a record of 17-4 in MMA and 12-3 in the UFC. A staunch supporter of Trump, Covington has often been seen receiving the former president’s support from ringside during his fights.
