After parting ways with Nike, Tiger Woods faced the challenge of defining his on-course style for the 2024 Genesis Invitational. Announced in Los Angeles, Sun Day Red pays homage to Woods’ tradition of sporting red attire on Sundays. The brand’s logo features 15 stripes, symbolizing Woods’ remarkable 15 major championship victories. Scheduled for release on May 1, the Sun Day Red apparel line is accompanied by a newly launched website.

In explaining the three-word name choice, Woods emphasized the significance of the number three, citing its inherent power. He described Sun Day Red as a fusion of his love for outdoor activities, the joy of daytime golf, and the symbolic power of the color red.

TaylorMade will oversee production of the Sun Day Red line, operating it as an independent business venture under CEO David Abeles’ leadership. Despite other apparel companies vying for Woods’ endorsement, he opted for TaylorMade due to the autonomy and potential financial benefits it offers.

This venture marks a significant transition for Woods as he diversifies his post-golf career pursuits. While continuing his competitive play, Woods has already made strides in golf course design. With Sun Day Red, he signals a broader investment in his personal brand, paving the way for a new chapter in his storied career.
